Service Groups
“The Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life as a ransom for many.” Mark 10:45. Have you ever attended a funeral and while eating with the family, said, “I am thankful that someone fixed this meal for the family?’ Have you ever been walking through a line at a fellowship meal and thought, “I wonder who set this all up and who will clean up later?” Bridal and baby showers, fellowship meals, meals after funerals, Christmas dinners, and meals for graduates services are provided by the Service Groups. If you are looking for an important place of service this may be your answer. Six different groups are seeking volunteers for this important work.

Dave Ramsey’s “Financial Peace University”
Thirty four people signed up for this video and discussion driven course. We looked at investing from a different perspective. Investing for retirement is very important. However, the focus of this seminar was on investing in the spiritual things and not putting too much emphasis on investing in monetary things. It was exciting to think of the many ways God used this course to further His Kingdom. Those who took the class were empowered and motivated to take control of their most powerful wealth building tool, their income. They walked away with a better understanding of God’s plan for handling money. We prayed that marriages were strengthened and that lives were changed.
