The Power of God

As a kid, when I heard the word “miracle”, I immediately thought of the Miracle Strip Amusement Park. If you grew up going to Panama City Beach, you had to ride the Starliner Roller Coaster. Now the park has gone the way of many parks, closing its doors in 2004. For some, miracles also expired with the death of the apostles. Others assert that they experience miracles daily. Still others fill stadiums to perform them. Tonight, our Growth Groups will seek to answer the question: “How can rational people believe in miracles?” You do not want to miss it. If you witnessed your wife deliver your child, you likely said, “the miracle of birth”.

Our college students get a passing grade on tough test and they’ll say, “that was a miracle”. However, as one studies biblical text, it becomes apparent that a miracle is an intervention in the natural world by the power of God — something that God does to defies the laws of nature. Don’t miss the discussion in a Growth Group tonight.
