A Time of Encouragement and Reinforcement
Third Annual Fall Men’s Retreat

From the fried turkey to the high ropes course, we had a great weekend bonding with
fellow men of our church. It is always a blessing getting to spend time with your brothers outside in nature. We all enjoyed watching Glen LaFever swing from the treetops and scream like a girl (just kidding— that was Will). Not only did we play , but we also spent time learning how to create a game plan that will lead to true results in our spiritual growth.

Mark Smith shared with us some important steps in making this a reality . It was a blessing to be a part of this event! This was a time of encouragement and reinforcement. I must be committed to a daily routine of prayer (petition, thanksgiving, praise) and reading God's Word, and be absolutely committed to spending that time every day, including holidays, weekends, and vacation days. It's a matter of determining what's important or unimportant in my life, and urgent or not urgent. I learned that an occasional mistake will not undo a righteous game plan. I may occasionally fall and have to pick my self up, or continually make life adjustments. I've got to remember Who's really in control - and it's not me!
