Good, Acceptable, Perfect

1 I appeal to you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship. 2 Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect. Romans 12:1-2
Last weekend ten of us attended the PBC youth rally. This year’s theme was G. A. P. (good, acceptable, perfect) from Romans 12:2. We all thought about what it means to “present our bodies as living sacrifices, holy and acceptable to God.” We were challenged to discern the will of God by looking to his word. By studying God’s word and looking at the examples Jesus set, we are able to understand how to resist the temptations to conform to this world. As we dig deep into the word of God it becomes easy to understand what God’s will is for our lives. For example, how difficult is it to understand “Be joyful
always; pray continually; give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus.” 1 Thess. 5:16-18 My prayer is that can all continually live by these verses.
Colin Walls. We praise God for Colin Walls decision to give his life to Christ last Tuesday. The auditorium was full of tears of joy. Wendy Edney commended Colin for his seriousness in learning more from God’s word during their growth groups on Sunday nights. Please pray for our new Christians!
