God’s Promises
Have you noticed how life seems to be full of broken promises? Have you ever stopped and thought about God’s promises? We have a wonderful, glorious, loving and merciful Father in heaven. I was recently talking to Grant about the challenges young people face as they grow up in today’s society—divorce, drugs, sexual pressures, school and choosing friends, and how no one is really promised safe passage. Life can also be difficult for adults—lack of job security, infidelity and illness may loom around the next corner. How fortunate it is that we, young and old, can be called the children of God, 1John3:1, and receive the promises that such a relationship entails. It can take your breath away when you stop and exam these promises closely. God’s promises include:
* adoption for a world full of wayward children -Eph.1:5,
* identity as a royal priesthood and saint -
I Peter 2:9,
* the security of Him always being there and nothing being able to separate us from Him -Rom.8:39,
* a peace that passes all understanding (Php.4:7)
* real joy and a life that’s truly overflowing -Ps.23:5,
* full forgiveness and reconciliation -
Acts 13:38; Col.1:22,
* salvation through a perfect sacrifice -1John 2:2,
* a loving example of living- Jesus Christ - John13:14,15,
* the Word (truth) -our guide for being -Heb.4:12,
* wisdom that is true -Prov.2:6,
comfort through the Holy Spirit -John14:26,
* fulfillment and true purpose -2Tim.1:9,
* the ability to talk to Him… anywhere and at anytime through prayer -Php4:6,
* real freedom from worry -Matt.6:25,
* access back to the Tree of Life -Rev.2:7,
* a heavenly home (John14:3) and eternal life - James1:12.
What more could we possibly ask for? Be still and know that I am GOD, Psalms 46:10.

The Propsts — 12 Years in Russia
Mitch Propst along with his wife Naomi graced our presence Wednesday evening. They shared the Good News of Jesus and the superb work that is being done in Samara, Russia. They have faithfully served the Lord in that mission setting and have seen the church move into its own meeting place. It has grown to have two Russian preachers working along side Mitch. Please pray for them as the challenges are many and difficult.
